Instrument Rentals

We believe that access to a high-quality instrument goes hand-in-hand with high-quality learning, so our rental instruments are individually selected by our experienced supplier. Each receives a professional setup: a hand-cut bridge, soundpost fitting, and quality strings for all sizes including fractional models.

Care & Maintenance

Keep your instrument safe from cold and especially hot and dry weather, and avoid quick temperature changes whenever possible. Never leave your outfit unsupervised in a vehicle- our insurance coverage doesn’t apply in the event of theft or damage when left unattended. Please wipe strings, fingerboard, and instrument body with the soft cloth provided after each use. And teachers- kindly don’t put stickers on the varnished areas.

Violin Rental

One-time Refundable Deposit - $50

Note that ALB does not support the manufacture of fractional size or poor-quality "disposable" bows made with Brazilwood or Pernambuco wood and will not supply them with rentals. Older wooden bows that have been restored are offered when available.

Purchase Options

Rental clients may apply one year of rental equity towards the purchase of an instrument of equal or greater value than the rental instrument. This discount does not include amount paid for insurance coverage or sales taxes.
